State Mutual Aid Reimbursement Overview

The State Disaster Reimbursement Section (SDRS) is responsible for ensuring that jurisdictions who deployed under a TDEM state mission are reimbursed in accordance with Texas Government Code, Chapter 418, Sections 418.046 and 418.118. 

SDRS is also responsible for the reimbursement process when state agencies or local entities respond to assist neighboring states or when out of state assets come to Texas and assist in accordance with Texas Government Code Chapter 778, Article IX. This program is called the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC).

Training Information

To assist our mutual aid partners with the process of submitting for reimbursement, TDEM is implementing training options via Zoom to go over all the changes and updates.

Monthly workbook training will be offered starting April 13, 2023. You can register for the training here.
